Did SEAL Team just release the series finale? Update David Boreanaz offers
aramount+’s SEAL Team closed out Season 5 with an episode that certainly left fans wondering if the military drama had quietly retired.
We won’t go into specifics about the plot here, but the 14th and final hour of the season — titled “All Bravo Stations,” was written by showrunner Spencer Hudnut and directed by Directed by Christopher Chulack – quite remarkable (and at times bittersweet) developments for a number of characters on the family front and in their personal lives, in a way that feels very, very “the end of series”.
Series star David Boreanaz, in this in-depth TVLine Q&A, admitted that the way the Season 5 finale ended “will really change the structure” of the show going forward.
At press time, SEAL Team has not yet been renewed for Season 6 nor has its ending been confirmed. TVLine has learned that the military drama, which moved from its original home on CBS to Paramount+ after this season’s fourth episode, has a very loyal fan base that has followed it from broadcast to streaming line and there may be an official announcement about its future soon.
Boreanaz himself, when asked about the possible status of Season 6, told TVLine, “Listen, I’m an optimist…” but noted “there’s nothing official” to announce.
“I know we did very well for Paramount+,” he added, “and I’ll leave it at that.”
